2023 Harvest
This year was a generous one at Ventozelo, despite being considered unusual due to a wet and warm winter and an equally warm but dry spring. The quantity of rain was normal, enabling good growth throughout the cycle, and the harvest began early, on 9 August, during a hot but usual summer. The impact of disease on the quality of the grapes was low, even for mildew, which only made an occasional appearance. The white wines were excellent with consistent maturation and good aroma and acidity. Despite some variation, especially due to the heatwave in August with temperatures over 40ºC and some rainfall in September, the reds had high colour intensity, easy tannin extraction and ideal pH and acidity.
