At Quinta de Ventozelo, there is a feature that stands out in the landscape, a mark of the human influence on this land. It is a strong colour that paints the doors of the Estate’s warehouses, built in 1840. From this colour came a wine, a symbol of the calm and purity of our ecosystems and the freshness of our grapes – Azul de Ventozelo Red. Made from a blend of the 3 noblest grape varieties of the region, the simplicity of this red introduces the personality and potential of Ventozelo’s wines.

Tasting notes
This wine, with its deep ruby colour, has an intense, fresh aroma characterised by ripe red fruits such as strawberries and cherries. On the palate, the combination of fruit and smooth tannins stands out. It has a lingering finish full of character.
How best to enjoy
It pairs very well with meat and fish dishes, vegetarian dishes featuring pulses, quiches and salads. The ideal serving temperature is around 16°C.
