At Quinta de Ventozelo, every grape variety has a history. Syrah is all about surprise – revealing an unexpected personality for a variety that is not indigenous to the Douro region. To enhance its fruity and wild exuberance, we bottled it the very next year after harvesting. The result is this young Syrah Unoaked, a force of nature with plenty to say.

This wine displays a beautiful ruby colour and a fresh, intense profile of ripe wild berries with spicy undertones. It is a fresh and sophisticated wine on the palate.
How best to enjoy
It goes well with meat dishes, such as oato rice, appetisers or vegetarian dishes with mushrooms.
